ELECTRIC POWER PRODUCTION
Producing electric power by means of a naturalistic use of water, that is an abundant and renewable source, you give a contribution to achieving a great and “clean” economic development.
We meant to stress the expression “natural and renewable source”, since we are perfectly convinced that it is necessary to get as much “clean electric power” as possible from sources which are fully natural and, more importantly, renewable, such as the water, the sun and the wind.
In this respect, we would like to quote some excerpts from the Guide Lines the ESPE Group has passed, which we deem to be of paramount importance for a sector like the one this activity is based on, in which we constantly have to deal with safety issues and respect of the environment.
- 1. Producing electric power is indispensable
We cannot make do without electric power. However, we must require of ourselves to produce it in a suitable way, therefore: - 2. Producing it from renewable sources like the water is fundamental
It is our case, with SC ESPE ENERGIA SRL in the Muramures region (Romania). - 3. Respecting the rules of the water, which flows down from the mountain, is a must to ensure safety
We know that water flows, washes away a route, forms a water bed where today it is scanty, tomorrow it will be more abundant, and so on… And we have to follow it, without trying to modify the ways it manifests itself. - 4. Safeguarding the mountains by means of structures which harmoniously integrate with the environment is a way to enhance our civil sense and quality of life.
Conservation of the environment is certainly a duty, as well as a form of respect for nature itself, but it is also a form of respect which casts a projection on us.
If we think about these principles, we may have a better understanding of how it is always necessary to work, respecting nature, its contexts and rules, without ever “forcing” it, lest we face its “refusals”, which entail negative repercussions on our lives.
